To cultivate a new generation of skilled IT professionals to address the strong manpower demand across diverse industries, VTC has established the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT) to offer a comprehensive range of IT and relevant technology programmes for contributing to the development of a vibrant and thriving IT sector.
Beginning from the academic year 2024/25^, HKIIT will launch Higher Diploma and Diploma of Foundation Studies programs, providing valuable pre-employment vocational and professional education and training (VPET) to students. In addition, lifelong learning opportunities will be available to empower working adults and industry practitioners in acquiring new skills and staying updated with the rapidly evolving IT landscape.
^Subject to the approval of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), the relevant IT and technology programmes currently offered by IVE will be transitioned to HKIIT starting from AY2024/25.
