Based on the "2018 Manpower Survey Report - Innovation and Technology Sector" by the Innovation and Technology Training Board of Vocational Training Council, the overall IT employees were increased by 9.1% between 2016 and 2018. The economy of Hong Kong in the coming year is expected to have a growth rate of 3 – 4%. The annual additional training requirement for IT employees from 2019 to 2022 is estimated to be about 5250 to 6410 in the IT sector.
For the Information and Communications Technology Industry development, the Hong Kong SAR government has put in place many initiatives such as Smart City Blueprint and many other e-Government Initiatives. The Smart City Blueprint, unveiled in December 2017, maps out the development plans for the next five years to enhance Hong Kong's sustainability by making use of innovation and technology.
Course Structure
The course comprises of the following modules:
Core Module
- 3D Modelling & Rendering Techniques (36 hours)
- Multimedia and VR Post-Production (36 hours)
- 3D Visualization for Multimedia and VR (36 hours)
- AR/VR for Enterprises (36 hours)
入學條件
- Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, plus at least one year of relevant work experience, or equivalent; or
- Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, plus at least two years of relevant work experience, or equivalent; or
- Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board plus at least one year of relevant work experience; or
- Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above plus at least one year of relevant work experience AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
- At least two years of relevant work experience plus other relevant verifiable prior learning that are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written.
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ relevant working experience, may be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
課程進修資助計劃
為了鼓勵在職人士爭取更高學歷，並在香港推廣職業專才教育，職業訓練局獲得香港特別行政區政府撥款推行Vplus創意專才進修資助。此計劃為就讀由職業訓練局開設的指定課程的創意工業從業者提供學費資助。
符合Vplus創意專才進修資助的合資格課程，為職業訓練局提供的指定自資兼讀制設計及資訊科技專業課程。這此課程應為香港學術及職業資歷評審局評定屬資歷架構第3至第4級別，並不包括副學士學位及學士學位課程；及香港資歷名冊的學習／培訓範疇下屬以下類別︰

獲批資助的申請人可獲退已繳付之學費的60%，上限為每人36,000港元。在計劃下，申請人可申請退還多於一個合資格課程的學費。
同一課程可同時申請Vplus創意專才進修資助及其他資助（如CEF、ENLS等）嗎？
不可以。申請人須從未就同一項課程申請或獲得任何政府或僱主的補助或資助。
何時可退還學費？
於申請人修畢課程後發放。退還金額會根據申請人實際繳付之學費計算。 退還的學費會於每年4月、8月、10月發放，一般會直接存入申請人指定的銀行戶口。

所有課程名額均以先到先得方法分配，任何未填妥之表格，或未繳交學費，本院將不會處理。截止報名日期每班開課前七個工作天（不包括星期六）。開課通知凡成功申請者將於開課前至少三個工作天接獲本院以閣下指定的聯絡方法通知開課詳情。本院對因郵遞失誤而寄失的開課通知書，概不負責。如在開課前尚未接獲通知，申請者可致電本院查詢（電話：3928-2646）。學費/收據除學員之申請不獲接納或所選課程取消/改期外，所有已繳學費恕不退還。學費及學額亦不可作任何更改(包括轉班)或轉讓他人。
