    Programme Introduction

    With a strong emphasis on practical application of academic and theoretical aspects, this programme aims to teach the key skills and competencies required by a cybersecurity professional, using specialised physical and virtual labs.  It will cover specialist security topics in the computing field, including ethical hacking, digital forensics, penetration testing, network security and cryptography. 

    Programme Features

     

    Learning at Cybersecurity Centre 
    The Cybersecurity Centre plays an important role in nurturing young talents through pre-employment training for cybersecurity workforce.  You will have opportunities to attend trainings to upskill professional competencies through handling real scenario security incidents. 

    Practical contents
    Throughout the course, great emphasis is placed on the practical development of work, with a significant portion of your time being spent on assisted lab tasks. The las tasks may involve live practical hacking challenges, seminars discussing topics such as cryptography and forward secrecy, or project-based classes, which involve more in-depth work on developing secure systems in hostile environments.

    Entry Requirements

    • Holders of VTC Higher Diploma in Information and Network Security  

      OR
       
    • Holders of Higher Diploma, or Associate Degree, or equivalent qualifications in relevant IT subject areas from recognised institutions will also be considered.  These applicants must also be able to demonstrate competence equivalent to an HKDSE Level 2 or HKCEE Grade E in Mathematics.*  

    English Proficiency Requirements

    • Applicants holding post-secondary qualifications (e.g. Higher Diploma, Associate Degree) taught and assessed in English from recognised institutions;

      OR
       

    • At least an overall IELTS score of 6.5, or equivalent.
